Amy
Hanssen Training Center competes at horse shows
both locally and state-wide. We also
support and encourage the ownership and exhibition
of the American Quarter Horse. We feel it is important
to personalize each horse and rider combination
based on their own individual needs and promise
to commit ourselves to your satisfaction by developing
the skills of both horse and rider to the best
of their abilities. The results produce winning
combinations both inside and outside of the show
arena.
PROFESSIONAL HORSE TRAINING
The most successful rider and horse teams benefit
from the training offered by the Training Center's
renowned trainers Amy Hanssen and Virginia Beaton.
They work with owners to bring their horse to a
higher level of performance with their proven techniques
and experienced hands.
Some horses may need a basic tune-up before
the show season while other green horses require
more education to become seasoned competitors.
Amy and Virginia will assess your horses skills,
attitude and abilities and recommend a training
plan to fit your
showing needs and budget.
HORSE
SHOWS
All
students are eligible to attend the many
horse shows during the year. Both
one-day and multi-day shows are available.
Lesson horses are available to be show-leased
for those students not owning their own horse.
Talented horses are available for all levels
of competition.
HORSE
SHOW GROOMING:
Students
are invited to groom for a horse show as
an opportunity to "Learn Their
Way Around Horse Showing." Activities
include pre-show, tacking up, grooming
and holding
horses for those students showing. This
is an excellent way to prepare for your
day
in the show ring.
